Rantalainen chose Koho ERP
It was the fresh and straightforward way of thinking of the startup company that convinced Rantalainen Accounting Services to choose the Helsinki-born Koho Sales Oy as their partner for developing their sales, invoicing, and operations.
Rantalainen is Finland’s third bigger accounting firm group with over 500 employees and about 12 000 customers. They’re located at over 30 localities around southern, western, and eastern Finland.
The sales work at accounting firms has traditionally been merely answering offer inquiries. No one had really thought about or developed their sales process before the big fish of the industry, such as Rantalainen, came along.
Rantalainen group’s director Kimmo Martikainen says, that their new ERP enables changing the business model: their whole network will be transferring into using fixed monthly prices, responding to their customers’ wishes.
Invoicing doesn’t have to be done the hard way
Koho Sales Oy’s CEO, Mikael Wallstén states, that accounting firms have had the habit of invoicing the hard way.
“From using many variations of charging principles, a combination has been formed that is hard to manage, troublesome to invoice, and tough to sell.”
It also has been estimated, that a part of accounting firms’ invoicing is lost on cases when accountants can’t bring themselves or don’t remember to invoice all the work they’ve done.
“By using Koho, you can be sure that all the work phases end up on the invoice because the system tells the accountant what to do for each customer, not vice versa”, says Wallstén.
Koho ERP includes the whole process, from an offer to a contract, and from there to task management, continuing to transform into an automatically-formed invoice. Once information has been input in the system, it will be immediately found from the customer-, contract-, and invoicing records. This makes it easy to modify and upkeep information. You can also see all the undone or invoiced work, or the monthly value of contracts with just one glance.
Martikainen says, at Rantalainen automating invoicing frees up a whole working day a month, which can be used for customer work.
“At the same time, sales work is alleviated and customer experience is improved as invoicing is streamlined”, he says.
